The kids will be proud!

To Fujita-San & Tsuchizawa-San,

I am not sure where to begin...I left this week kissing my kids goodbye and as always, I told them, "I am off to another adventure, I am going to miss you dearly, but I am going to work to help as many people as I can and make you both proud of your Dad. Then with a hug and and kiss...and of course, a request for me to buy them something...I was off!

I landed in New York and met you both with Kuroo-Shachou. We had a very busy week. We met with awesome distributors that put their trust in our Koganei brand. We met many of their customers that are doing some awesome things that we now get to be apart of.

We also did A LOT of driving! The time we spent together meant so much to me. I just want to take a minute to explain to you both why.

You both are also Dads. So naturally, it was awesome to talk with you about our joys as a parent. Though you are on the other side of the world and we do have different cultures, I understand that you don't love your kids any less than I love mine. And you too, want to make them proud of what you do each day at Koganei.

I watched you both all week, interact with everyone we visited. I also watched you work with our team in Japan until midnight on the phone most of the nights to get information to those that required within only 12-24 hours of asking. To hear our distributors say that they have never seen this much professionalism, responsiveness and refusal to make an excuse from a company like Koganei is truly humbling. You both demonstrated so much determination to serve. I was amazed. What you did so well includes:

Listened first- You asked for ideas on our next innovation.
Honest & soft spoken- You spoke honestly and sincerely
People were your priority- I am at the airport still receiving calls about how amazed they were in meeting with you both!!!

I wish you both safe travels back to each of your homes today. When you arrive and you kneel down to receive the embrace of each of your kids, please know...they should be very proud!

Being with you both, I feel so lucky to be apart of Koganei. You have inspired me this week again because of who I get to work with everyday.

Domo Arigato Gozaimashita,
